Pattie LaCroix has more than two decades of strategic planning, public engagement and communications experience in Canada, the US, Africa and south Asia. She has held senior communications roles in the public and private sectors. She is currently the Director of Communications at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
She has provided strategic planning and communication leadership for organizations within the international development sector including: Oxfam Canada, Canadian AIDS Society, the Association of Canadian Community Colleges, Make Poverty History, the Canadian Council for International Cooperation, USC Canada and the National Peace Corps Association.
She has held a number of board positions with organizations such as: the International Association of Public Participation, the Canadian Community for Dialogue and Deliberation and Canadian Crossroads International. A frequent conference and workshop presenter on the power of story to ignite change, Pattie is the author of the storyworks.ca blog. She also has a degree in Journalism and a Masters degree in Liberal Studies.
