To all of our friends and supporters for their online votes in the Ashoka Changemakers competition: ‘Inspiring Approaches to First Nations, Métis and Inuit Learning’.
Our Indigenous Women in Community Leadership program is one of 16 finalists in the competition, which attracted 266 entries.
The top 3 vote-getters win $5,000 prizes. The 4th and 5th place entries will receive a cash award of $2,500 from the Donner Canadian Foundation. If successful, the Coady will apply an award towards a scholarship for a Canadian First Nations, Métis or Inuit leader to take one of our education programs.
Our entry is eligible for other awards that will be determined by a panel of judges. Winners will be announced on Monday, March 26th. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the big announcement.
