International Centre for Women’s Leadership
Cheryl joined the Coady in October 2014 as the Coordinator for the International Centre for Women’s Leadership (ICWL), which hosts programs for women leaders in Canada and other countries in the global south. She has been on campus at St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) since 2008 working for the Continuing & Distance Education Department as well as the Office of the Registrar as a program assistant and administrative assistant.
Part of Cheryl’s role is to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the Centre are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations, funding limitations, or other specifications. She also coordinates activities of the Centre with other projects, departments, or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications. Cheryl also provides assistance and information to faculty, staff and outside stakeholders related to Centre leadership programs and projects that include the Canadian Women’s Foundation Leadership Institute (CWFLI), the Indigenous Women in Community Leadership program (IWCL), and Global Change Leaders (GCL).
Cheryl has a diploma in Business Administration from the Nova Scotia Community College and is nearing completion of her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, majoring in Leadership and Management at St. Francis Xavier University.
