Terri Whetstone was born in Edmonton, Alberta and has lived on Nova Scotia’s south shore for the last 21 years. With a background in adult education and community development, she has worked for thirty years with many communities including homeless youth, women’s groups, justice workers, women entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations. She is also a visual artist with an active studio practise and exhibition career.
With a deep commitment to social justice, Terri is known for developing capacity-building knowledge sharing opportunities and creative programming that responds to communities’ needs.
In the last ten years, Terri has been bringing her community development and art background together establishing such programs as the Phoenix Youth Open Studio program at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, the Art Bikers program, the Community Arts Circle and Arts Engage! trainings.
Terri has been the Executive Director of the 4Cs Foundation in Halifax, NS since 2006.
