Youth in Partnership Program

Now Recruiting for the second cohort of internships from August 2010 to March 2011.  There will be a third cohort from August 2011 to March 2012.  Recruitment for this cohort will begin in March 2011.

Please note:  If you have previously applied for an internship the internship application form has been revised.  We kindly ask that you submit a new application.

To be eligible for the program, you must:

• be between 19 and 30 years of age;
• have graduated from a university or college program by the time the program begins;
• be unemployed or underemployed;
• be legally entitled to work in Canada
• never have previously participated in a program funded by CIDA's Youth Employment Strategy (YES)  

The Coady Institute is also looking for youth who have demonstrated volunteer and community involvement and a willingness to become active global citizens. Each year, a few internships require particular specializations while others could benefit from a second language such as French or Spanish.

The requirements for each placement change from one year to the next based on the needs of the host organization.
