Resource Mobilizer

Host Organization: Holy Cross Hospice (HCH)

• Assist in the writing of funding applications
• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy based on the needs of the hospice
• Network and cultivate new donor relationships both in the private and public sector
• Work with the management team to develop financial and operational plans for the following fiscal year
• Promote positive image and reputation of hospice by working with the marketing team to develop new promotional materials

• Background in marketing, financial planning or fundraising
• Excellent oral, written and communications skills
• Networking and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS issues and the needs of HIV/AIDS patients
• Ability to work with limited resources
• Ability to self-motivate and innovate

Host Organization Details: The intern will research, write and submit funding applications for various projects which address the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS and orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) as implemented by the hospice. The intern will also work with the hospice staff to gain a better understanding of the local funding environment and develop a fundraising and marketing strategy that will cultivate new donors within the private and public sector.
